Built at the end of the nineteenth century, Fattoria Settepassi was a country villa by a great Florentine gold working family. At the beginning of the twentieth century tobacco cultivation led to the building of the first cigar factories, large buildings dating to the early agricultural industrialisation phase. The RP Hotels and Restaurants Group took it over in the 1980s and land and crop consolidation work together with building restoration which is still going on, has breathed new life into the farm’s late nineteenth century splendours.
The land owned by the farm is spread out over a vast area of around 130 hectares. The old cigar factory, now restored, will be used for events linked to agriculture and local agricultural products and as an international exhibition venue.
The historic estate villa next to the cigar factory has been renovated in order to host the Fattoria’s guests. It is the ideal place for those who love peace and quiet, sport and Tuscan home cooking.
8 apartments are available with kitchens on request and 6 rooms as well as a a bar, breakfast service and Restaurant. A relaxation area with a swimming pool for adults and children, a whirlpool bath and a solarium are also available to guests.
Fattoria Settepassi is set in a nature reserve and gives you the chance for a holiday in close contact with the natural world in a wonderful mosaic of natural microclimates and is a migration destination for a range of bird species such as herons, ducks and, over the last few years, storks and the black winged stilt.
It is easy to get to on the Florence-coast motorway (A11) exiting at Chiesina Uzzanese and/or Altopascio just 3 km away, near to Montecatini Terme and around half an hour from Lucca, Pisa and Florence on the motorway.
